American Capital Group will never request you to send personal information via e-mail. If you encounter a suspicious e-mail or website that says it's from American Capital Group, do not respond to it.
How to report a fraudulent e-mail or website

Only suspicious emails and websites should be sent to this address. Thank you for helping us detect and stop phishing and fraud.
Do not reply to the message, and do not open its attachments or follow its links. Forwarding it to us is enough.
How to spot a fake
A convincing forgery copies our logo, our wording and our signature block. What it cannot copy is where it comes from and what it asks you to do.

The sender address is close, but not ours
Real mail from us ends in @acgcapital.com. Look at the full address, not the display name -- a display name is free text and can be set to anything.

It is urgent, and the urgency is the point
A deadline measured in hours, an account about to be closed, a payment about to fail. Urgency is there to stop you checking.

A link says one thing and goes somewhere else
Hover over it, or press and hold on a phone, and read the address that appears before you tap it.

It asks for credentials or account numbers
We will not ask you for a password, a full account number, or a Social Security number by e-mail.

Payment instructions have changed
Treat any e-mailed change of wire or ACH instructions as fraudulent until you have confirmed it by phone, on a number you already had.
