USED EQUIPMENT
Financing used equipment.
Used equipment is not a second-class transaction here. Same one-page application, same terms, same structures, same end-of-term choices, and we pay your vendor directly whoever they are.
THE SHORT ANSWER
Yes, and on the same terms
New or used, from any vendor you choose. We buy the equipment and pay your vendor directly, exactly as we would on a new machine, and the transaction runs on the same one-page Application Only program from $10,000 to $150,000 with no financial statements.
Terms run 18 to 60 months. There is no down payment — two advance payments are due at signing. At the end of the term you return the equipment, buy it, or extend, which are the same three options a new machine carries.
What does change on a used machine is what the collateral is worth and how long it has left, and that is a conversation about the specific machine rather than a policy about used equipment.
WHY USED
Why buyers finance used equipment
The depreciation already happened
The steepest part of an equipment asset's value curve belongs to its first owner. Buying past it puts more machine on your floor for the same money.
It is available now
A used machine is usually on a floor somewhere rather than in a build queue. On a timeline, that is often the whole argument — see how long it takes.
Proven equipment, known problems
A machine that has been running for five years has no surprises left in it, and the parts and the people who service it already exist.
A second machine without a second budget
Adding capacity, covering a shift, or keeping a spare on the floor is a different financial decision when the machine is used.
Financing keeps the cash where it is useful
The reason to finance a used machine is the same as the reason to finance a new one. Paying cash for equipment converts working capital into an asset that cannot pay a supplier.
It can be part of a bigger list
One agreement can cover new and used equipment together, from one vendor or from several.
WHAT WE ASK
What to tell us about the machine
More detail than a new-equipment transaction needs, and all of it is on the seller's listing or the invoice.
Make, model and year
The three that identify what the collateral actually is. A year is worth more here than an adjective.
Hours or mileage
How much life has been used, on equipment where that is measured. It is the closest thing to an odometer on a machine.
Condition and service history
Whether it has been maintained, and by whom. A documented service record is worth having to hand.
The serial number
It ends up on the paperwork, so finding it early saves a step later.
Who is selling it, and their invoice
We pay the vendor directly, so their details and an invoice are what the transaction ultimately runs against.
What it costs, all in
Including freight and rigging, which on used heavy equipment can be a real number — and which can be financed with it.
SAME AND DIFFERENT
Used next to new, honestly
Identical on both
- The same one-page application from $10,000 to $150,000
- No financial statements on Application Only
- No down payment; two advance payments at signing
- Terms from 18 to 60 months
- Return, buy or extend at the end of the term
- Freight, rigging and installation can be financed with it
- Any vendor you choose, paid directly by us
Different on used
- We look harder at what the specific machine is worth
- Age, hours and condition are part of the conversation
- The remaining service life shapes the term that fits
- Which structures suit it can depend on the resale market
- The seller's invoice and the serial number matter earlier
- A private seller may need setting up before we can pay them
None of the right-hand column is a reason not to ask. It is a list of the things a specialist will want to know on the first call, so that the answer you get is a real one.
ANY VENDOR
You pick the seller, not us
We work with more than 30,000 equipment resellers, and you are not restricted to them. Any vendor you choose — we buy the equipment and pay them directly.
If the equipment you are after is not one of the types listed in our equipment directory, ask anyway. That directory is what we finance most often, not a list of what we will consider.
QUESTIONS
Used equipment, asked plainly
Can you finance used equipment?
Yes. New or used, from any vendor you choose, on the same one-page program and the same terms. We buy the equipment and pay your vendor directly.
Is it harder to finance used equipment than new?
The application is the same and the program is the same. What changes is that a used machine's age, hours and condition are part of the conversation, because the equipment is the collateral and a specific used machine is worth a specific amount.
How old can the equipment be?
There is no single cutoff age, because it depends entirely on the type of machine. A twenty-year-old machine tool and a twenty-year-old computer are not the same proposition. Tell us the make, model and year and you will get a real answer.
Can I finance equipment bought from a private seller?
Any vendor you choose. A seller we have not paid before needs their details set up once, which is one step and goes faster if their invoice comes in with the application.
What information do you need about a used machine?
Make, model and year; hours or mileage where those are measured; condition and service history; the serial number; the seller and their invoice; and the all-in cost including freight.
Are the lease terms different on used equipment?
The range is the same, 18 to 60 months, with no down payment and two advance payments at signing. The term that actually fits is shaped by how much service life the machine has left.
Can freight and rigging be financed on used equipment?
Yes, and on used heavy equipment they are worth including. Freight, rigging, installation and training can be written into the same agreement rather than paid separately out of working capital.
What is the minimum for used equipment financing?
$10,000, the same as new. Business equipment for commercial use — we do not finance personal or household purchases.
