DISPATCH CENTRES
Dispatch console furniture financing and leasing
A dispatch console is a piece of furniture that runs twenty-four hours a day with a different person in it every eight. Sit-stand surfaces, monitor arrays, personal climate and lighting are what keep a dispatcher sharp on the twelfth hour of a shift. Finance the console room as one project and put it in before the next recruiting cycle, not after.

Why lease it
01
The console outlasts the term
Dispatch furniture is built for a fifteen-year life on a twenty-four-hour duty cycle. A five-year lease pays for it in a third of its life, and a $1 buyout leaves the centre owning furniture that will serve two more refreshes of the electronics.
02
Furniture, electronics and install together
The consoles, the radio and call-handling positions, the monitor arms and the installation are one project with one payment. Soft costs such as design, freight and the raised floor go on the same lease.
03
Retention is cheaper than recruiting
Dispatcher turnover is the most expensive line in a centre's budget. Sit-stand consoles, personal climate and proper lighting are the things exit interviews mention. A monthly payment for the room is a fraction of one replacement hire.

Questions centre managers ask before financing dispatch consoles
Can I finance Xybix or Watson dispatch consoles?
Yes. American Capital Group finances Xybix, Watson Consoles, Evans, Russ Bassett and other dispatch console furniture for private and contract dispatch centres, campus and hospital security operations, utilities, private ambulance services and alarm-monitoring centres. Electronics and installation go on the same lease.
Does dispatch console financing cover the radio and CAD positions?
Yes. The radio dispatch consoles, NG911 call-handling positions, CAD workstations, monitor arrays and video wall that sit on the furniture can be financed with it, so the operations centre is funded as one project rather than a furniture order and a separate technology purchase.
What lease term is normal for dispatch console furniture?
Console furniture is usually financed over three to five years with a $1 buyout, because it lasts far longer than the term and the centre wants to own it at the end. Electronics on the same lease can be set to a shorter refresh cycle if the centre prefers.
Can a private security or ambulance company lease a dispatch centre?
Yes. Private security operations centres, private ambulance dispatch, alarm-monitoring companies, campus safety departments and hospital command centres are all commercial borrowers and are approved on the strength of the business and the equipment, usually within one business day.
