Questions growers ask before financing precision ag technology
Can I finance a Trimble or Ag Leader guidance system?
Yes. American Capital Group finances Trimble, Ag Leader, Raven, Topcon and Precision Planting guidance, auto-steer and planter electronics for farms of any size, across any brand of tractor. Most precision ag purchases are approved on an application alone, with no financial statements up to $150,000.
Can an agricultural spray drone be leased?
Yes. DJI Agras spray drones, Mavic 3M mapping drones and other agricultural drones are financed with the batteries, the generator, the trailer and the training on one lease, for growers and for custom application businesses.
Can precision ag payments be made once a year after harvest?
Yes. Annual, semi-annual and seasonal payment schedules are available for farming operations, so the payment on a guidance system or a planter upgrade comes due when the crop is sold.
Are RTK subscriptions and farm software included?
The up-front RTK network fees, the farm management software licences and the dealer installation and calibration can be financed as soft costs on the same lease as the receivers and displays. Ongoing annual subscriptions are billed by the provider.
