EDM MACHINES
EDM machine financing and leasing
EDM is what a shop buys when the geometry stops being millable — hardened steel, sharp internal corners, deep ribs and carbide. We finance wire, sinker and small-hole machines new or used, with the filtration, the tooling system and the electrodes on the same lease.
What we finance
New or used, from any vendor, dealer or auction. Named manufacturers are examples of what this covers, not a limit — if what you need is not on this list, ask.
- Wire EDM — Makino U-series and UPJ, Sodick VL and ALN, GF AgieCharmilles CUT P and AgieCharmilles CUT E, Mitsubishi MV
- Sinker and ram EDM — Makino EDAF and EDNC, Sodick AG series, GF FORM P and FORM X
- Small hole and hole popping machines, and start-hole drills
- Fast-hole and micro EDM for cooling holes and medical work
- Tooling and workholding systems — System 3R, EROWA, Hirschmann pallets and chucks
- Graphite and copper electrode milling, plus electrode blanks and holders
- Dielectric filtration, resin, deionization, chillers and wire spools
- Automation — robot loaders, pallet changers, lights-out cells
- CAM and wire path software, plus tool presetters and CMM checks
- Used EDM from dealers, closing shops and machinery auctions, with rigging
Why lease it
01
Take work a milling machine has to turn down
EDM cuts hardened tool steel and carbide with no cutting force at all, which is why the mold, die and aerospace work that pays best asks for it. Financing puts that capability in the shop before the customer takes the job elsewhere.
02
Filtration, tooling and electrodes on one lease
A wire machine also needs resin, filters, spools and a pallet system before it makes a part. Those consumable and tooling packages can be financed with the machine instead of coming out of the same month's cash.
03
Used Makino, Sodick and Agie iron qualifies
EDMs hold value and hold accuracy. A used machine from a dealer, a closing tool room or an auction is financed the same way a new one is, with the rigging and power hookup included.

EDM machine financing questions
Can I finance a wire EDM machine?
Yes. Wire EDMs from Makino, Sodick, GF AgieCharmilles and Mitsubishi are financed new or used, and the filtration system, chiller, tooling pallets and rigging can be written into the same lease so the machine is cutting rather than waiting on a second purchase.
Do you finance used EDM machines?
Yes. Used wire, sinker and hole-popping machines from dealers, liquidations and auctions are financed the same way new ones are. Older machines are usually approved on a shorter term, and freight, rigging and the electrician can be included in the amount financed.
Can a small tool and die shop finance an EDM?
Yes. Small tool rooms and mold shops are the typical EDM buyer, and applications are decided on the owner's trade experience, personal credit, the shop's work and a down payment rather than on company size, so a two-person shop is a normal approval.
Is it better to lease or buy an EDM machine?
An EDM is a long-lived asset that earns on jobs won month by month, so leasing lines the cost up with the work instead of taking six figures of cash out at once. End-of-term options include owning the machine for one dollar, so leasing does not mean giving it back.
