Plant equipment outlasts almost everything else a station buys. Paying for it out of one year's advertising revenue does not match how it is used.

Broadcast equipment financing questions
Can I finance a radio transmitter?
Yes. FM and AM transmitters from Nautel and GatesAir are financed new or used, along with the antenna, transmission line, combiner and the tower work and install the changeout requires.
Can I finance a studio build-out with consoles and furniture?
Yes. AoIP consoles from Axia, Wheatstone and Lawo, AES67 routing, microphones, arms, monitors, studio furniture and acoustic treatment are financed as one room rather than as separate purchases.
Do you finance automation and audio processing?
Yes. Playout and automation systems including WideOrbit and RCS, Omnia and Orban processing and streaming encoders are financed, with the licensing and installation on the same schedule.
Can a small or standalone station finance equipment?
Yes. Standalone and small-cluster stations are financed regularly. Underwriting looks at the licensee's credit and operating history rather than requiring a large group behind the application.
