Questions studio owners ask before financing a control room
Can I finance an SSL or Neve console?
Yes. American Capital Group finances SSL, Neve, API, Audient and other recording consoles, new or from a recognised dealer, together with the interfaces, monitors, microphones and outboard that make up the room. Most studio equipment purchases are approved on an application alone, with no financial statements up to $150,000.
Can a Dolby Atmos studio build-out be leased?
Yes. Atmos monitoring systems, the immersive speaker array, the bass management, the interface and the acoustic treatment and construction that make a room Atmos-capable are financed as one project, with the build-out and installation included as soft costs.
Can a podcast or streaming studio finance its equipment?
Yes. Podcast and streaming studios financing Rodecaster, Shure SM7B, cameras, lighting, switchers and the treated room are approved on the same terms as music studios, and small studio leases are usually approved the same business day.
Is used or vintage studio gear eligible for financing?
Yes. Used and vintage consoles, microphones, preamps and outboard bought from recognised dealers are financed on terms matched to the piece, and a vintage Neve or Telefunken microphone holds its value better than most new equipment.
