TIRE RECYCLING

Tire baler and tire recycling equipment financing and leasing

A scrap tire is a disposal fee until it is baled, shredded or ground, and then it is a product: a bale for civil engineering, tire-derived fuel for a kiln, crumb rubber for a track. The baler and the shredder are what turn the fee into the sale. Finance the processing line as one lease and pay for it from the tipping fees it already collects.

What we finance

New or used, from any vendor, dealer or auction. Named manufacturers are examples of what this covers, not a limit — if what you need is not on this list, ask.

  • Tire balers — Gradeall MK2 and MK3, Harris, IPS, TSI
  • Primary tire shredders — ECO Green, CM, Granutech-Saturn, SSI
  • Sidewall cutters, tread cutters and tire debeaders
  • Wire liberators, magnetic separators and screening decks
  • Rubber granulators and crumb rubber grinding lines
  • Tire-derived fuel and tire-derived aggregate processing
  • Conveyors, feed hoppers and bale strapping systems
  • Mobile balers and shredders for collection routes
  • Truck and OTR tire cutters and wheel crushers
  • Roll-off trucks, trailers and tire collection vehicles
  • Scales, dust collection and fire detection systems
  • Used and refurbished tire recycling equipment

Why lease it

01

The tipping fee pays the lease

A processor is paid to take the tire before it sells the bale. A baler financed over five years costs less per month than the tipping fees from a single collection route, so the equipment is covered before the first bale ships.

02

Bale now, shred later, one lender

Most processors start with a baler and add a shredder when volumes justify it. Both stages, and the granulator after them, are financed by the same lender on the same terms as the business grows.

03

Terms that fit heavy iron

Shredders and balers are built for decades of service. Five to seven year terms with a $1 buyout keep the payment in line with the throughput and leave the processor owning the line.

Questions tire processors ask before financing equipment

Can I finance a tire baler?

Yes. American Capital Group finances Gradeall, Harris, IPS and other tire balers, new or used, for scrap tire collectors, tire dealers, landfills and recycling companies. Most tire baler purchases are approved on an application alone, with no financial statements up to $150,000.

Can a tire shredder and crumb rubber line be leased?

Yes. Primary tire shredders from ECO Green, CM, Granutech-Saturn and SSI, along with wire liberators, granulators and crumb rubber lines, are financed as complete processing systems, including conveyors, dust collection and installation as soft costs.

Can a tire dealer finance a baler to cut disposal costs?

Yes. Tire dealers and auto service chains finance balers to compact scrap tires on site and cut haul-away charges, and the savings on disposal usually cover the payment. A baler is a small lease relative to shop equipment and is normally approved the same day.

Is used tire recycling equipment eligible?

Yes. Used and refurbished balers and shredders from dealers, resellers and auctions are financed on terms matched to the age and condition of the machine, and a used shredder with a current rebuild is a common first purchase for a new processor.
