VACUUM & HYDRO EXCAVATION TRUCKS

Vacuum truck and hydro excavation truck financing

A vacuum truck is one of the most expensive vehicles a contractor will ever buy and one of the most reliably billed. Utility locating, sewer cleaning, industrial cleaning and septic pumping are all charged by the hour or the load, and the truck runs every day it is not in the shop. Financing spreads the purchase across the hours it bills.

What we finance

New or used, from any vendor, dealer or auction. Named manufacturers are examples of what this covers, not a limit — if what you need is not on this list, ask.

  • Cameras, locators and CCTV inspection vans on the same agreement
  • Fleet expansions for utility, environmental and municipal contractors

Why lease it

01

The truck bills by the hour from day one

A hydro excavator on a utility contract is invoiced by the hour and a septic truck by the load. A lease with a five to seven year term and a fixed monthly payment matches the cost of the truck to the revenue it earns, and the first month's billing usually covers the first payment.

02

Finance a specialised truck without a bank's questions

Banks struggle with a vehicle that is half truck and half industrial machine. We finance vacuum trucks every month, know the builders and the chassis, and approve the whole unit, chassis and body together, on one application.

03

Deduct the truck the year it is delivered

Vacuum trucks and hydro excavators are Section 179 property. Buy on a $1 buyout lease or an equipment finance agreement and the whole unit can be expensed in the year it goes into service, subject to your own tax position and your CPA's advice.

Questions operators ask before financing a vacuum truck

Can I finance a hydro excavation truck or a vacuum truck?

Yes. Vacuum truck financing from American Capital Group covers Vactor, Vac-Con, Guzzler, Super Products, Ramvac and Vermeer hydro excavators, combination sewer cleaners, industrial vacuum loaders, septic and liquid vacuum trucks and jetter trucks, new or used, for utility locating, excavation, environmental, sewer, septic and industrial cleaning contractors. Smaller units are approved on an application alone, with no financial statements up to $150,000, and full-size hydro excavators are quoted on a short financial package.

How much does it cost to lease a vac truck?

The payment depends on the truck, its age, the term and the end of term option you choose. A used septic pumper on a four year lease is a very different agreement from a new twelve-yard hydro excavator on a tandem chassis over seven years, so send the builder's quote through the form on this page and we return real numbers, usually the same business day.

Can I finance a used vacuum truck or hydro excavator?

Yes. Used vacuum trucks from a dealer, a rental fleet, an auction or another contractor qualify, subject to age, mileage, hours and a current tank and boom inspection. We pay the seller directly once the truck is inspected and the agreement is signed.

Can a new excavation or septic company finance its first truck?

Yes. An operator starting a hydro excavation or septic company with a contract in hand can finance the first truck against personal credit, industry experience and the contract. We fund start-up contractors regularly, and the first payment can be set after the truck is delivered and working.
